Kristy Bamu, 15, was tortured and drowned in a bath on Christmas Day 2010 by his older sister and her partner Eric Bikubi, who believed he had cast spells on another child in the family.
The question I want answered is when are Africans going to be delivered from this ‘witchcraft’ mentality?. I am so tired of the evil manipulation of feeble minded people, being brainwashed by the people they rely on for Spiritual guidance. Why do we always target the young vulnerable ones?. How can an adult, wilfully kill a helpless child on the pretence of witchcraft?, when most of the time their woes and misfortunes are caused by their ignorance and laziness to work hard and slug it out like everyone else, or failure to bear the consequences of their wrong actions.
My personal view is whomever, wherever these instigators are, be it Pastor, be it Herbalist, be it Spiritualist. They should all be prosecuted and sent to prison.
If truly the light conquers darkness and the weapon of warfare is not ‘carnal’, then why beat, torment and destroy these children’s lives, mentally and physically, stigmatising them from an early age, how can a Christian who is called to ‘love your enemy’ become a tormentor and killer of Gods children. Why not fight them spiritually, paralyse their demonic powers?.
Question: have you noticed that none of these Spiritualist children are witches and wizards, it is always someone elses children, I wonder why?
