I hear WizKid is in town for his London gig this June bank holiday, already all the school girls have missed school to scream down heathrow as he arrived today!.
Well I know people will be surprised that I even know who Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun a.k.a Wizkid the talented singer, songwriter and performer is and I will confess didn’t have a clue until my daughter started dancing to ‘gbakuru mo’! I fell in love with him when i watch the dance video for the track along with co star Funke Akindele ‘aka Jenifa’. As you also know I celebrate young people especially when they come out glowing in their talents, something for the youth to look up to and to emulate.
At 21 the guy is so talented, so innovative and has his head screwed on, how I just wish the Nigerian lads over here in London will take after these young and up coming artistes who struggle against all the odds and still come out strong and on top. There is always a choice in life, so I am praying that we will see less and less of teen killing, young gangs and see more Nigerian talents coming out and doing us proud.
More grease to his elbows and hope you youngees enjoy the show, I will be busy taking my little ones out to see the Queen geared with our red white blue flags. ! God save the Queen!
