Film tribute to Nigerian plane crash victims ‘Last Flight To Abuja’, Premiers in London! Video

When film director Obi Emelonye started work on a feature film inspired by a series of aeroplane disasters that rocked Nigeria in 2006, he didn’t imagine it would become a campaign film. 

But earlier this week, the tragic news came through of plane crashes in Lagos, Nigeria and Accra, Ghana which together claimed the lives of over 160 people.

Now the film Last Flight to Abuja has been dedicated to the latest crash victims – and the director hopes it will raise awareness of the need for increased aviation safety in Nigeria.
The film had its world premiere in London on Friday 8th June 2012 and Emelonye, who wrote, produced and directed the film, told the BBC World Service he hopes it will also increase the profile of Nigerian cinema around the world.
The much publicized premiere of Obi Emelonye ‘Last Flight To Abuja’ London premiere finally held yesterday.  Sexy actress, Omotola Ekeinde Jalade led other Nollywood stars like Jim Iyke, Ali Nuhu, Uru Eke to the movie premiere last night. She was mobbed by some of her teeming fans who have waited for so long to catch a glimpsed of the African movie superstar.
She graced the movie premiere in her usual sexy and glowing style. 
Last Flight To Abuja is a movie produced by Obi Emelonye after his multiple awards winning movie, Mirror Boy. 
It featured Omotola, Hakeem Kae-Kazim, Jim Iyke, Ali Nuhu, and other stars.
