‘Footballer Kanu Nwankwo, singer Banky W, actress Funke Akindele Oloyede and Steve ‘Yaw’ Onu have been announced as an Olympic torch bearers to herald the forthcoming Olympic games in London. These outstanding Nigerians will be carrying the torch at the Olympic Torch Relay holding at Coventry on July 1st 2012.’
So I have heard, if it is true I am happy for them but also confused as to what their contributions are exactly to the UK and the people of Coventry. I can understand Footballer Kanu’s contributions, who is well known from Arsenal, Portsmouth to winning the UEFA champions league and a UNICEF ambassador. But the other stars? Can someone shed more light please!
