Fellow comrades and like minded ones of the universe, as I write this blog my mind battles within me, back and forth like my grandfather’s wall clock about Life and the secret to living a successful life.
As in my motherland tongue they will say ‘Ori je n’jewe Olubori, ewe madarikan!‘. Simply meaning God creator of Life, to whom all its secret belongs, give me the leaf of an over-comer and a conqueror whom is indestructible and indisputably wise, to rule and reign in this world of wow’s and woe’s! We are today looking at the wow’s and woe’s of 2 distinguished people, our own Nigerian icon Majek Fashek who now resides on the streets of New York and the American sweetheart child star of ‘Home Alone’ Macaulay Culkin.
These 2 once mega stars are today suffering from what I can simply call ‘Once I was rich Syndrome’. Africans call them ‘ I get money before’!, that will not be our portion this 2012 and I totally reject that for you IJN!
I remember back in those days when I was growing up in Nigeria, I was still in secondary school which Majek hit the limelight with the song ‘send down the rain’ he has this rich, smoothing, silky voice and was called the Bob Marley of Africa, whenever the song was on, you better believe it but the rain starts pouring, just as if the heavens listen to his music. He was beautiful, full of live, full of passion and truly God’s gift to smooth troubled minds with melodies of Hope. His ‘Free Africa, free Mandela’ became a global anthem worldwide.

Majek the fallen Star |
Majek was a global name who even appeared once on David Lettermans show. What could have gone so terribly wrong that a beautiful soul could be held captive. Have you heard the saying. ‘Smooth, beautiful and wide is the road that leads to destruction and millions are the souls that go on it, but it leads to nowehere but Death. Once you get on the road with the ‘party friends’, partying, eating and merrying with drugs, with alcohol, you find you are too far gone, its the wrong way, but no strength to come back. You struggle to live through another day, giving up on life and the chance to start again, believeing that all is lost.
