The much acclaimed, elegant, fairytale wedding of the daughter of famous preacher Bishop T.D. Jakes of The Potters House has fallen apart just after 4 years. Mrs Sarah Henson married former NFL player Robert Henson at the young age of 19!. Personally I feel that is too young for a woman to get married. But saying that doesn’t still guarantee that if you marry late it will last forever.
Marriage my friends I always say is a tricky communion, it is the hardest thing I personally feel exists in this world, you either get it right and live blissfully or get it wrong and live dreadfully. To succeed takes 100% commitment by both parties, but when you are faced with reality, someone is carrying more weights than the other and if care is not taken, the party that carries most weight, say 70-30% relationship, crashes out under the weight of, depression, frustration, loneliness and mistrust. Two people living together as husband and wife yet further apart body soul and spirit!. Hence the phrase, ‘Married and Single’. This is the worst situation that can happen to a marriage and at this stage becomes mostly irreparable.
I have seen a 6 months wedding crash out and also a 50 year old marriage dissolving their wedding vows.
Each marriage has its own peculiar hurdles, to one it might be Adultery, to another it might be verbal abuse, to another it might be lack of sexual relationship or simply companionship.
Here is hoping they find peace in whatever decision they take, all goes to show that even if your pops is a Bishop with a successful marriage and a marriage expert doesn’t guarantee success in the lives of their children.
