The RCCG Holy Ghost Festival comes to town this Friday 20th April, 2012. Unlike the Famous Glastonbury festival famous for its Mud, boots, tents, booze and its famous line up of stars and singers such as Jayz, Amy Winehouse, Tinie Tempah and even the Godfather of Blues Legendary BB King hosted on Glastonbury open fields. The Holy Ghost festival is a Christian gathering led by the General Overseer,Pastor Enoch Adeboye or Daddy G.O as he is lovingly called by all. It is held at the Excel Docklands, its a semi annual event held indoors with line ups of famous from Winans, Mary Mary, Kirk Franklin to Muyiwa, Mike Aremu and Lara George to name a few.
A crowd of over 50,000 people come together with one purpose, to worship and praise God, with music, drama, poetry and prayer. International dignitaries, religious emissaries and government officials all show up, from London Mayor, to Alpha Course guru Nicky Gumbel. Its an amazing event to witness, just as people have passion for their football clubs, Arsenal or Manchester United watching them live in Wembley stadium, so vibrant is this crowd, the music is exhilarating, if you have watched Sister Act with Lauryn Hill and Whoopi Goldberg then you will get the idea!

come on down to Excel and the beautiful thing is it is free of charge!
Alternatively if you cant make it down to Excel maybe because of distance, they normally have a live coverage on the OHtv Sky channel 199, you could invite your friends round and have a slumber party with Jesus! Praise the Lord! or should I say ‘Somebody shout hallelujah!’
